Artist

By profession, I am a Chartered Accountant working as a Finance Manager but art has always been my sanctuary, my form of peace. What began as a personal hobby has grown into a lifelong passion that allows me to reflect, create, and connect through the timeless beauty of Arabic calligraphy.

Influenced by my Pakistani heritage, my upbringing in Saudi Arabia, and my life in the United Kingdom, my art is deeply rooted in the spiritual richness of Islamic culture and the sacred tradition of Arabic script. From the very beginning, I have sought to create work that goes beyond ornamentation art that carries meaning, beauty, and remembrance.

My pieces weave together Qur’anic dua's (supplications), abstract design, and decorative elements, reflecting both our sacred heritage and the colours, textures, and emotions of my journey across cultures. For me, art is a form of dhikr. A remembrance of the Divine. The verses I inscribe are not merely text but living words that connect us to the Eternal. Through the flow of script, the harmony of geometry, and the depth of colour, each canvas becomes both prayer and expression, inviting reflection and sanctuary.

Since 2018, my work has been exhibited in more than 50 exhibitions from cultural festivals and the opening of art centres to international embassies, where I was honoured to present my art at Independence Day celebrations. My journey has also led me to live art performances, sharing the process of calligraphy in real time. Over the years, my work has been featured in global media, and Alḥamdulillah, I am humbled to have built a community of over 45,000 art lovers worldwide who continue to grow with me on this path.

One of the most meaningful milestones of my career was designing artwork for the Holy Qur’an. A project that took more than six months to complete. To know that copies of this work have been published and shared around the world is a blessing I could never have imagined when I first picked up a brush.

After a pause of over three years, I returned to my art with renewed spirit, beginning with an exhibition in partnership with the Consulate of Pakistan in Birmingham. This return reaffirmed my belief that Islamic art is not only about aesthetics, but also about building bridges between cultures, reviving heritage, and inviting hearts back to the timeless words of the Qur’an.

In many ways, I see myself as both a student and a contributor to a living tradition. One that is timeless yet continually evolving. My work is shaped by the sacred, inspired by the world around me, and created with the hope that each piece becomes a reminder of beauty, faith, and connection.

From Jeddah to Birmingham — my story in the headlines

Projects

Throughout my art journey, I’ve been blessed to work on many heartwarming and meaningful projects, each reflecting my love for faith, culture, and creativity. A few, however, hold a truly special place in my heart.

The Qur’an Project: One of my most cherished experiences. I had the honour of designing a complete Qur’an art design and having my name mentioned in the beginning of each printed copy as the designer is a blessing in itself. A humble contribution to something sacred and timeless.

Spirit of Pakistan: A tribute to my homeland, celebrating its pride and resilience through colours and poetry. I had the privilege of partnering with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Birmingham for their first-ever week-long celebration, featuring 20 cultural events that highlighted Pakistan’s rich heritage. The collaboration began with a personal invitation from the Head of Chancery herself, making this project even more special.

Iqbal x Shakespeare: An artwork created with love and a deep understanding of their philosophies. It is now proudly displayed at the heart of Shakespeare Town Hall, bridging cultures through art and poetry.

Art with Heart: Along the way, I’ve also collaborated with various charities to help raise funds for meaningful causes, where my work was appreciated and received with immense love and support.

Each project is a chapter of my story. Where art becomes a bridge between heart, history, and humanity…
